God Is an Astronaut are an instrumental/post-rock three piece band from the Glen of the Downs, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.

Bloc Party - Intimacy (2008)

Intimacy is the third studio album by British indie rock band Bloc Party. It was recorded in two weeks at several locations in London and Kent during 2008 and was produced by Paul Epworth and Jacknife Lee. Inspired by the release options available in the Internet age, the band members made the album available for purchase on their website as a digital download on 21 August 2008. Minimal promotion was undertaken in the UK. The record was released in compact disc form on 24 October 2008, with Wichita Recordings as the primary label. It peaked at number 8 on the UK Albums Chart and entered the Billboard 200 in the United States at number 18.

She & Him - Vol 2 (2010)

Volume Two is the second album by She & Him, a collaboration between M. Ward and actress Zooey Deschanel. It is scheduled for release on March 17, 2010 by P-Vine Records in Japan, March 23, 2010 by Merge Records in US, and on April 5, 2010 by Double Six Records in UK.

The album's track listing was announced on December 8, 2009. "In the Sun" will be released as a single with "I Can Hear Music" on February 23, 2010 and was published online by Pitchfork Media on January 22, 2010.

On 9 February 2010, She & Him were interviewed on BBC 6 Music and performed "Thieves" and "Gonna Get Along without You Now" from the not-yet-released album. The song "Thieves" was made available on-line.

Florence and the Machine (sometimes written as Florence + the Machine)is the recording name of Florence Welch and a collaboration of other artists who provide backing music for her voice. Florence and the Machine's sound has been described as a combination of various genres, including soul and indie rock. The band's music has received praise across the music media before they gained mainstream success, especially from the BBC who played a large part in Florence and the Machine's rise to prominence by promoting her as part of BBC Introducing.

The band's debut album, Lungs was released on 6 July 2009, and held the No. 2 position for its first five weeks in the UK Album Chart.On 17 January 2010, the album reached No. 1 on the UK album chart, having remained in the chart for 28 consecutive weeks up until that point. At the 2010 BRIT Awards, Lungs won the "Mastercard British Album" award
