The Mars Volta - Octahedron (album details)
The Mars Volta's fifth studio album, Octahedron, will be released June 22nd on Mercury Records.The band have confirmed some special London shows around the release of the album. The first of which is a at the ICA in London on June 18th followed by a special outdoor show at Somerset House on July 13th.
Octahedron follows up last year's The Bedlam In Goliath, which featured "Wax Simulacra," the track that took Best Hard Rock Performance honours at the recent 51st Annual Grammy Awards.
Octahedron was written by The Mars Volta--Omar Rodriguez Lopez (music, arrangements, direction) and Cedric Bixler Zavala (vocals, lyrics)--and performed by The Mars Volta group: Marcel Rodriguez Lopez, Thomas Pridgen, John Frusciante, Isaiah Ikey Owens, Juan Alderete de la Pena, Cedric Bixler Zavala and Omar Rodriguez Lopez.
Hailed by The New Yorker as "perhaps the most musically adventurous act currently signed to a major label," The Mars Volta formed in 2001. The band's recorded output includes the 2003 debut full length De-Loused In The Comatorium, as well as Frances The Mute (2005), Amputechture (2006) and the previously mentioned The Bedlam In Goliath (2008).

Sade - Greatest Hits (1984-1994)
Sade's smooth voice always makes you comfortable, that makes these songs memorable, you feel good yourself. "Cherish The Day", "Jezabel" and flawless love song "Smooth Operator" are the best moments in this Greatest Hits. Sade is cleary queen of soft pop music.

Doves - Kingdom of Rust (2009)
Kingdom Of Rust may just increase their fanbase significantly. Why can't more bands make this kind of effort? Widescreen, windswept and grittily euphoric – well now, no one's said that about Oasis lately have they? In a year that's fast becoming a vintage one for albums, Doves storm to the top of the pile. Absolutely brilliant.
