The Twilight Singers - Dynamite Step
Listen to the song " Last Night In Town"
“Whenever you’re here, you’re alive” are the first words sung on Dynamite Steps, the fifth album from Greg Dulli’s Twilight Singers collective, and the group’s first in five years. The Twilight Singers’ previous release, the acclaimed confessional opus Powder Burns, came out in 2006. Dynamite Steps is clearly the next chapter, a whole new level of catharsis and progress, evocatively cramming all the highs and lows of the maverick singer-songwriter’s past half-decade into unexpected sonic trapdoors. “Shot on location” at various locales significant to Dulli’s life, you can hear the sense of place emanating up from the grooves of Dynamite Steps. Here, the weary nighttime decadence of New Orleans rubs up against the oppressive sunshine of Los Angeles and the desolation of Joshua Tree’s desert vistas. Dynamite Steps explores the thin line between life and death, mortality and immortality, resignation and celebration—that mythical moment when your life flashes before your eyes, drawn out here over the course of eleven songs. The album’s forty-three minutes prove an unflinching odyssey through the dark side, but one that’s ultimately redemptive in its scope and power.

Katy Perry - Firework
"Firework" is a great song by American recording artist Katy Perry from her second studio album Teenage Dream. It was released as the third single from the album and was written by Perry, Stargate, Sandy Vee and Ester Dean, and produced by Stargate and Sandy Vee. According to Perry, "Firework" is influenced by Jack Kerouac's novel, On the Road. It peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Perry's fourth chart-topper in the US and third number-one single from the album. R Indie loves Katy, so I'd love to put her video on this blog.

Phoenix "Long Distance Call" lyrics video and mp3
"Long Distance Call" is a song by French rock band Phoenix and is from their third studio album, "It's Never Been Like That". It was released 8 May 2006 in the United Kingdom as the lead single from that album, but was ineligible to chart in the UK Singles Chart (see 2006 in British music). The song was also covered by popular american rock band Paramore. It's really one of their the best songs.

Lyrics to Long Distance Call :
Where to go I had no idea
26.10 was the price to pay
A messed up kid with no ideals at all
I thought those 26.10 I shouldn't give'em away

El Perro Del Mar - God Knows from self-titled "El Perro Del Mar "
With a voice that wavers between Jane Birkin's and Neil Young's, Swede Sarah Assbring, or El Perro del Mar as she calls herself, writes of hope and loneliness, sometimes at the same time. Cleary influenced by Burt Bacharach and Phil Spector, El Perro del Mar sings a kind of indie doo wop, bringing together syllabic backing harmonies ("sha-la-la-la," "shooby doo-wop bah," and "be-bop a loo-lah" are some of the phrases she uses throughout the album), poppy melodies, simple vocal lines, acoustic guitars, and twinkling pianos on her self-titled full-length. allmusic.com
From the first time I've discovered El Perro Del Mar, I couldn't stop listening their songs. The good description above tells everything about this record, and I personally love the song below:

Momus - Tender Pervert (1988)
"Tender Pervert stands out as the finest of the early Momus recordings. The two fantasy autobiography tracks, The Charm Of Innocence and Bishonen, are arguably the two greatest songs in the complete Momus catalogue. This is Nick Currie the Storyteller at his most accomplished."
This is a record that I suggest you to listen if you like weird or different kind of music rather than listening same all same pop music.
